How to hide columns rows with plus and minus button in Excel. To Hide rows and columns are  common process in excel spreadsheets. Excel spreadsheet ‘s feature can make the way easier and make it more visible when rows or columns hidden. Grouping inserts small icons around the Microsoft Excel grid to allow us to hide and unhide rows and columns frequently. These icons also identify that rows/column have been, or could be, hidden. The Group icon is on the Data Ribbon tab.

There are two keyboard shortcuts – that should be noted –

To add grouping you select the range and

press Shift + Alt + right arrow.

To remove grouping select the range and

press Shift + Alt + left arrow.
