How to Effectively Answer Interview Questions. One of the most commonly asked questions during job interviews is “Tell me about yourself.” The human resource officer will ask you this because they don’t know you and would like to know more about you. If you did your previous research, this is the time to shine. You should have researched the company and the job vacancy. This is the moment when you must tell them that you really want the job. If you have gone through several of these, you should already know how best to answer and tell me about yourself interviews. You know you are going to encounter it many times in the future.

Your answer will play a major role in getting accepted for the job or not. This is not the time to be nervous as the interviewer will immediately sense if you are nervous or not.

The first thing to do would be to tell them why you are the best fit for the job vacancy.

For example, if you are applying for a writer, tell them you have a lot of experience in that. Yes, tell them all about your job experiences about being a writer. Better skip the jobs you had that don’t have any relation to that. If you are a fresh graduate, you can tell them that you were head of the writers club in school. You can also tell the interviewer that you are pretty passionate about writing.

In other words, this is when you tell the interviewer all the reasons you have for getting accepted for the job. It is not right to just read everything that is stated in your CV though. It would be better to go deeper than that so they would get a better explanation of what you wrote down there.

One of the things you must remember while answering this question is not to make it sound too scripted. Better be confident enough that you were already able to practice your answers before arriving for the interview. You know that would yield awesome results. Also, better dress nicely so the company would know that you are taking their job vacancy seriously and you really want to get into their company.

Hence, better get in some knowledge about the company so that they will realize you did research about the company. It is possible they will terminate the interview if they find out you don’t know a thing about the company. It is like you were just forced to go there and did not even do any prior research.

That will certainly mean bad news since that will be their first impression of you. It is evident there are many people applying for the same position so you must show them why you are deserving of the job over them. If you show them what you are capable of, they would not hesitate to hire you. It is possibly more than one person who would interview you so they would be able to save time.
